■2021_09_02 初秋を迎える志賀の里
Shiga no Sato, where autumn is approaching
《 すきま風 闇にまじりて 秋の声 マツムシ騒ぐ 一番厠 》
－すきまかぜ やみにまじりて あきのこえ まつむしさわぐ いちばんかわや－
深夜のトイレ（厠・かわや）に立った。
顔に触れる隙間風、爽やかな風に秋を感じる。
「チンチロリン チンチロリン」と風に混じってマツムシが鳴いている。
季節の変わり目に、自然のなかにいるおのれに感謝するとともに、
季節の変わり目を慈しんでいるおのれを感じる。
虫かごでマツムシを飼っていた子供のころが懐かしい。
I stood in the bathroom at midnight. I feel autumn in the change that touches my face
and the refreshing breeze.
"Chin-Cee-Loline" The pine beetles are singing in the wind.
At the turn of the season, thank you for being in nature
and I felt compassionate.
I missed my childhood when I kept a pine beetle in an insect cage.
■2021_09_04 ポンコツ・ボディ再生 Ponkotsu(Old) body regeneration
《 ポンコツの パーツ換えてや 油差し 飽きずに通う 修理工場 》
―ぽんこつの ぱーつかえてや あぶらさしあきずにかよう しゅうりこうじょう－
歳を重ねてくると、各部位（パーツ）の消耗激しく、部品の交換や修理が必要になって
くるものである。
与えられた寿命を全うするのもそれなりの努力と、感謝の姿勢が必要であることを
痛感する。
永年の愛車を大切にする心に通じるものがある。
生かされている己を大切に使っていきたい。

■2021_09_08 山の天気は移ろいやすい
The weather in the mountains is easy to change
《 薄化粧 峯の姿は 百面相 移ろいやすき 山の天気や 》
―うすげしょう みねのすがたは ひゃくめんそう うつろいやすき やまのてんきやー
志賀の里にある我家は比良山系の表情豊かな標高200mほどのところにある。
空や山の顔は、季節によっても、また日々のご機嫌によっても微妙に変化する
百面相である。
残暑の残る夕暮れの空の顔は、薄い紅化粧の上に、ひつじ雲（7000m辺りの高層雲）と、雨雲（1500m辺りの乱層雲）というチャーミング・ポイントをつけ足して魅力的である。
山の天気は、移ろいやすいと言われるが、＜明日はおおむね薄曇り、ご機嫌がよさそう＞である。
秋風爽やかな山登りの季節がやって来たようだ。
山に魅せられた男のこころが騒ぎだした。

Our home in Shiga no Sato is located at an altitude of about 200m, which is rich in expression in the Hira Mountains.
The faces of the sky and mountains are hundreds of faces that change subtly depending
on the season and the mood of the day.
The face of the dusk sky in the summer when the heat remains is attractive by adding
charming points such as sheep clouds (altocumulus clouds around 7000m)
and rain clouds (nimbostratus clouds around 1500m) on top of light red makeup.
The weather in the mountains is said to be a lady’s heart,
but it is <generally sunny tomorrow and looks good>.
Autumn breeze It seems that the refreshing mountain climbing season has arrived.
The heart of a man who was fascinated by the mountains began to make noise.
■2012_09_12 たわわに実る秋の妖精たち
Autumn fairies that grow steadily
《 たわわなる 秋の妖精 彩づきて コラボ嬉しや 栗山女かな 》
－たわわなる あきのようせい いろづきて こらぼうれし くりあけびかな－
志賀の里の森も色づき始め、実りの味覚を届けてくれている。
今年はみなふくよかに、大きさを競っている。
栗もアケビも、みな満足そうな顔をし、幸せそうだ。
The forest of Shiga-no-Sato has also begun to change color, delivering a fruitful taste.
This year, everyone is competing for size. Both chestnuts and chocolate vine have happy faces. Everyone looks happy.
■2021_09_14 体内時計 と グランドファーザズ・クロック
Body clock and Grandfather’s clock
《 時刻む 体内時計 疲れ果て 静寂求め 時を止めにし 》
－とききざむ たいないとけい つかれはてせいじやくもとめ ときをとめにし－
家の真中にまるで主人のようにでんと構えたグランドファーザズ・クロック
(HOWARD MILLER CLOCK社製)がある。
あらゆる生き物は、自分の体内時計に支配され、生きているといわれる。
人間は、体内時計に合わせて、時計という時間専門のゼンマイ・ロボットを作りあげた。
時計は、人の行動を監視し、支配者として君臨するようになってしまったのである。
しかし、老いたこの歳になると、振り子を止めて安息にひたることもしばしばである。
わたしも時間から解放され、自由を味わう歳を迎えたようである。
In the middle of the house is the Grand Father's Clock that was made by Howard Miller Clock, which stands like a master.

The clock has come to monitor human behavior and reign as a ruler.

News from Hagi-no-Hana<Bush Clover>
《 秋むすめ 枝垂れる腰に 思案顔 内気なりしや 萩の花かな 》
－あきむすめ しだれるこしに しあんがお うちきなりしや はぎのはなかな－
秋、志賀の里は萩の花で満開です。
秋の七草にも選ばれている別嬪さんたち、
枝垂れる枝に紫紅色の美しくも、
小さな花を優雅に咲かせています。
季節の花を愛でる人生もまた豊かで、良いものです。
In autumn, Shiga-no-Sato is in full bloom with Bush Clover.
The weeping branches are beautifully purple-red, but small flowers are gracefully blooming. These are Beppin-san＜Beauty Girl＞, who are also selected as the seven autumn herbs
in Japan.
Life that loves seasonal flowers is also rich and good.
■2021_09_18 ニュージランド縦断スケッチ紀行

《 落葉床 星降り来る 仮の宿 語りし夜なべ サザンクロスや 》
―おちばとこ ほしふりきたる かりのやど かたりしよなべ さざんくろすや－
南半球の秋、美しい紅葉・黄葉のなか、自転車やバスを乗り継いでニュージランドを
縦断したときのスケッチであり、日記・記録です。
サイクリングしながら、原生林で野宿し、南十字星や氷河に魅せられながら描き上げた
スケッチ集です。
ニュージランドも又、日本と同じく神の創造された最も美しい国の中の一つといえます。

■2021_09_21 秋彼岸の墓参ツーリング

《 立ち姿 凛と仰ぎし 彼岸花 先祖詣での ツーリングかな 》
－たちすがた りんとあおぎし ひがんばな せんぞもうでの つーりんぐかな－
久しぶりの秋晴れのもとツーリング、彼岸花咲くびわ湖岸、先祖の墓にお花を手向けてきた。

■2021_09_24 イガ栗頭の今昔
Chestnut- skin- head now and then
《 遠き日の 坊主頭や イガ栗の 想いて笑ふ 悪戯の己 》
－とおきひの ぼうずあたまや いがくりの おもいてわらふ あくぎのおのれ－
田舎を愛する友より、庭で採れたという沢山の栗が送られてきた。
栗たちをみていると、イガ栗頭の鼻たれ小僧たちが、
悪さをして回っていた少年時代を思い出したのである。
わずか70年前の懐かしい想い出である。
いまも私自身イガ栗頭であるのがなお嬉しい。
A friend who loves the countryside sent me a lot of chestnuts that were harvested
in the garden.
Looking at the chestnuts, I remembered the boyhood when the squid chestnut-headed,
nose-sucking boys were doing bad things around.
It is a nostalgic memory of only 70 years ago.
I'm still happy that chestnut- skin-head.
■2021_09_25 自然は偉大であり、美しい ―鱗雲見上げるススキ達―
Nature is Great & Beauty -
-Japanese pampas grass looking up at the scale clouds-
《鱗なる 雲色づきし 清き空 背比べススキ 風の間に間に》
－うろこなる くもいろづきし きよきそら せくらべすすき かぜのまにまに－
志賀の里は、聖なる秋を迎えつつある。
鱗雲を見上げる、ススキ達の清らかなコーラスが、
風に乗って響き渡っている。
秋の暮もまた、美しきハーモニの中にある。
Shiga-no-Sato is approaching the holy autumn.
The pure chorus of Japanese pampas grass overlooking the scale clouds.

■2021_09_26 びわ湖に浮かぶ親子釣り舟
Fishing boat floating on Lake Biwa
《 親子乗る 小舟消えゆく 夕暮れに 平和祈りし 琵琶の淡海 》
－おやこのる こぶねきえゆく ゆうぐれに へいわいのりし びわのあわうみ－
志賀の里―琵琶湖昨日の夕暮れ。
カヤックに乗る父娘が釣り糸を垂らして、人生の一瞬を楽しんでいる情景は、
平和である。
平和こそ、人類最大の幸福である。
Dusk on Lake Biwa, Shiga-no-Sato. The scene where father and daughter riding
a kayak hang a fishing line and enjoy a moment of life is peaceful.
Peace is the greatest happiness of mankind.
■2021_09_27 散歩道 ―天国への入口－
Promenade -Entrance to Heaven-
《 径,それは まっすぐ伸びし わがこころ 導かれては 立ち止まりつつ 》
－みち、それは まっすぐのびし わがこころ みちびかれては たちどまりつつ－
久しぶりに志賀の森に恵みの雨がふった。
いつもの散歩道に水たまりが出来、
天国に続くもう一つの入口が出来ていた。
なんと素晴らしい風景を映し出していることか・・・
しばらく立ち止まったが、寄り道せずに、
今しばらく、
いつもの散歩道を楽しむことにした。
It's been a while since the rain of grace fell on the Shiga Forest.

■2021_09_28 姿に影武者あり
There is a shadow warrior in the figure
《 己見る 不思議な自分 影武者の 付きつ離れつ 認め合いしや 》
－おのれみる ふしぎなじぶん かげむしゃの つきつはなれつ みとめあいしや－
家に棲みついたカマキリさん。
2本の鎌手と4本の美脚で密着するキリコさんのシンメントリーな影に見入ってしまった。
これから冬に向かって体全体が茶褐色に衣替えしていくのである。
一生付き合うもう一人の影武者、私は自分の影が好きである。
Ms.Kiriko-san is living in my house.
I had been watching at Kiriko's sympathetic shadow, which was in close contact
with her two big hands and four beautiful legs.
From now on, her whole body will turn brown toward winter.
Another shadow warrior who will be with me for the rest of my life,
I like my shadow.
■2021_09_30 天高く背伸びする柴麦の穂
Ears of grass wheat that grow tall in the sky
《光射す 雲のまにまに 天高く 背伸び嬉しや 野草と共に》
－ひかりさす くものまにまに てんたかく せのびうれしや のぐさとともに－
秋の陽に向かって背伸びする柴麦の穂たちを見ていると
母なる太陽を崇める命の基（もとい）を感じるのである
今日もまた鱗雲のもと、さんさんと太陽の光を浴びて
幸せを感じている野の穂をみていると心が和む。
太陽のぬくもりが身に染みる瞬間である。
Looking at the wild grasses growing toward the autumn sun,
I feel the basis of life that worships the Mother Sun.
Today, I feel so happy that be bathing in the sun under the
cirrocumulus.
■2021_10_03 焼栗のインデアン踊り
Roasted chestnut Indian dance
《 焼き栗の 跳ねて踊りし インデアン 燃える営火に スカウト覚ゆ 》
－やきぐりの はねておどりし いんであん もえるえいかに すかうとおぼゆ－
この秋、柿も栗も成り年なのか、
志賀の森にはたわわに実っている。
友から差しれのあった栗に、
収穫した栗を合わせて焼き栗に挑戦である。
火が通ると、パチッと音がして弾け、
口を開ける仕草が可愛いらしい。
薪の燃えるパチパチ音に合わせて、
栗が鉄板の上で踊る様も愛嬌があるのだ。
少年のように、おのれも興奮し、
炭バサミを振り上げてインデアン踊りが
始まった。

Persimmons and chestnuts are growing in the forest of
Shiga-no-Sato in this autumn.
It is a challenge to roast chestnuts.
When it's cooked, it makes a clicking sound and pops,
and the gesture of opening the mouth seems to be cute.
It is also charming to see chestnuts dancing
on an iron plate to the crackles of burning firewood.
Like a boy scout, I was excited and swung up
the charcoal scissors to perform the Indian dance.

■2021_10_05 命楽しむ露草
Dayflower to enjoy life
《 命ある 君なればこそ 美しき 朝露に見る 君の姿や 》
－いのちある きみなればこそ うつくしき あさつゆにみる きみのすがたや－
露草の儚い命の輝きの中に、その瞬間を切り取った命の美しさを見つけて、語りかけた。
野の花の自然に生きる逞しさ、そこには悠久の命の神々しさが秘められている。
「露草」と名づけられたのには、朝咲いた花が昼しぼむことが朝露を連想させるからだという。
可憐な露草、その清楚な美しさに見惚れてしまった。
The moment was cut out in the brilliance of her life of the dayflower.

The flower that bloomed in the morning was named "dayflower"

■2021_10_07 ナナフシ君のお散歩
Stick insect walk
《 七節の 擬態まといし 姿をや 変化枯れ枝 己隠せし 》
－ななふしの ぎたいまといし すがたをや へんげかれえだ おのれかくせし－
地下の土間と、玄関横の壁を散歩中のナナフシさんに出会った。
2本の手と4本の足で歩くのが普通だが、モドキさんは2本の手を顔に添えて触角のように
前に突き出している。
擬態は彼らの自己防衛術であり、落葉や枯れ木、枝にまぎれて敵を欺くのである。
人が、生き抜く知恵を与えられているのも不思議ではないといえる。
おなじ大切な命であり、みな生かされていると思うと愛おしさを感じるものだ。
I met the stick insects who were taking a walk in the underground dirt floor
and the wall next to the entrance.
It is normal to walk with two hands and four legs, but she has two hands only.

There are their self-defense technique, pretending to be deciduous, dead trees,

■2021_10_08 湖風に舞う秋桜たち
Autumn cherry blossoms (cosmos) dancing in the lake-Biwa breeze
《 浮雲に ジャズ軽やか 風の舞 踊る秋桜 恥じらい入りて 》
－うきぐもに じゃずかろやか かぜのまい おどるこすもす はじらいいりて－
いつもはおしとやかな乙女たちが、われを忘れ、
野生の本能のまま、びわ湖の風に誘われて踊り狂っている。
舞妓さんがジャズダンスを踊っているようではないか。
Cosmos are dancing in the wind, forgetting themselves.
They are invited by the wind of Lake Biwa to dance crazy.
Maiko-san seems to be dancing jazz dance.
■2021_10_11 夜明けに向かって叫ぶ Shout towards dawn
《 天の川 白み染める 蛇谷峰 露に目覚むる 野に臥せし宿 》
－あまのかわ しらみそめる じゅだにみね つゆにめざむる のにふせしやど－
この連休、のんびりと比良山（約22㎞）を歩いて来た。
1日目、朽木温泉から蛇谷ノ峰（標高902m）への夜間登山のあと、山頂の樹木の
枝葉に潜り込んで野宿をした。
山頂を取り巻く満天の星や、高島・マキノ・朽木の灯火（ともしび）を楽しみながら
夜を明かした。
2日目は、山頂で、晴天に恵まれた夜明けを迎え（写真）、奥比良を縦走したあと、
八雲が原に簡易テントを張った。
しかし、夜半、襲い来る強風と雨に見舞われ、身を縮めて朝を迎えることになった。
3日目、悪化する天候を避けて、当初の予定を切り上げ、荒川峠より志賀の里に
下山した。
下界は晴れ渡り、雨に濡れた山男をあざ笑っているようであった。
During this holiday, I walked alone on Mt. Hira, about 22km.
On the first day, after climbing from Kutsuki Onsen to Mt.Jadanimine (elevation 902m)
at night, I sneaked into the branches and leaves of the trees at the top of the mountain.
I spent the night enjoying the stars surrounding the mountaintop and the lights of
Takashima, Makino, and Kutsuki-village.
On the second day, at the top of the mountain, I reached the dawn blessed
with fine weather (photo), and after trekking Okuhira, I set up a simple tent
in the field of Yakumo-Daira.
However, in the middle of the night, I was hit by strong winds and rain,
and I shrank and greeted the morning.
On the third day, avoiding the worsening weather, I rounded up my original schedule
and escaped from Arakawa Pass to Shiga-no-Sato.
The grand world was clear and it seemed that was laughing at the rain-soaked mountain man.
■2021_10_12 武奈ケ岳登頂（標高1214m）
Climbing Mt. Bunagatake (elevation 1214m)
《 日ノ本の 風吹き抜けし 武奈の峰 包みし静寂 平和なるかな 》
―ひのもとの かぜふきにけし ぶなのみね つつみししじま へいわなるかなー
高校時代に初登頂して以来、日本二百名山である武奈ケ岳に何度登った事だろうか。
今回も元気に再会できたことを喜び合った。
武奈ケ岳の左後方の山が釣瓶岳(1098m)、その奥に前夜野宿した蛇谷ケ峰(902m)が
遠望できる。
奥比良は登山者も少なく、びわ湖や北山の優雅な景色を眺めながらトレッキングを
楽しめる私の好きな縦走路である。
So many times I have climbed Mt. Bunagatake, one of the 200 famous mountains
in Japan, since I first climbed it in high school.
We were delighted to be able to meet again this time.
The mountain on the left rear of Mt. Bunagatake is Mt. Tsurubedake (1098m),
and behind it I can see Mt.Jatanigamine (902m), which was in the eve.
■2021_10_13 比良縦走エスケープを決断
Decided to escape Mts. Hira traverse
《 誰ぞ知る 行くも帰るも おのが道 荒川寂し 別れの峠 》
－たれぞしる いくもかえるも おのがみち あらかわさびし わかれのとうげ－
当初予定の比良比叡縦走を断念し、荒川峠よりエスケープ（緊急下山）
することになった。
悪天候による低体温を恐れたからである。
トレッキング継続か中断か随分と迷った。
この写真は、エスケープを決意し、安堵した時に撮ったものである。
I abandoned the originally planned Mts. Hira-Hiei Traverse and decided
to escape from the Arakawa Pass (emergency descent).
This is because I was afraid of hypothermia due to bad weather.
I was at a loss as to whether to continue or interrupt trekking.
This photo was taken when I decided to escape and was relieved.
■2021_10_14 山猿さんたちのランチ
Mt. Hira-Monkey’s Lunch
《 ハチの巣に アケビ腸詰 団栗の 森の恵みや 猿さんランチ 》
－はちのすに あけびちょうづめ どんぐりの もりのめぐみや さるさんらんち－
比良比叡縦走を悪天候によって断念し、荒川峠よりエスケープしたが、
どうしても気分が晴れないのである。荒川道を下りながら、
お猿さんたちはいったい何を食べているのだろうかという思いにかりたててみた。
そして、下山途中で拾い集めた森の果実を、帰宅後、皿に盛ってお猿さんランチを
作ってみた。

お猿さんたちは喜んでくれるだろうか。
I abandoned Mts. Hira-Hiei traverse due to bad weather and escaped
from the Arakawa Pass.
But I just couldn't feel better.
As I went down the Arakawa Pass, I wondered what the monkeys were eating.
Then, after returning home, I put the fruits of the forest that I picked up
on the way down the mountain on a plate to make a monkey's lunch.

■2021_10_15 魅惑の女郎蜘蛛
Enchanted Joro Spider ＜Nephila clavata＞
《 待ち伏せし 色鮮やかな 女郎蜘蛛 妖艶にして 喰いつくしけり 》
－まちぶせし いろあざやかな じょろうくも ようえんにして くいつくしけり－
裏庭に住みついた女郎蜘蛛のサイケな模様に見入ってしまった。
黒に、黄色と赤を配したデザインの完璧さにである。
その艶やかな色彩で、相手を目くらませして、
捕食するのであるから知恵者である。
創造主のすべての創作品は、すべて傑作アートである。
I was fascinated by the psychedelic pattern of the Joro Spider
that settled in the backyard.
It was for the perfection of the design with yellow and red on black.
She is dazzling the other one with her gorgeous color.
She is a wise woman because she preys on it.
All the creations of the Creator are masterpiece art.
■2021_10_17 暁に立つ孤高の山男
A solitary mountain man standing in the dawn
《幻想の 濃霧背負いし 我れなれど 雄々しき切り絵 われと認めじ 》
－げんそうの のうむせおいし われなれど おおしききりえ われとみとめじ－
奥比良山系縦走時、早朝の濃霧の中、力強い老登山家のバックシャンを
納めた一枚の写真です。
This is a photo of a powerful old mountaineer's back shan in the thick fog
in the early morning when traversing the Okuhira Mountains.
Gejigeji （Chinese fountain）grass shining in the morning dew
《 懐かしき 腕白小僧 遠き日の ゲジゲジ遊び 笑い転げし 》
－なつかしき わんぱくこぞう とおきひの げじげじあそび わらいころげし－
この素敵な野草、背筋を伸ばし、針で身を固め、
種子を守る姿の神聖なこと。
そこには彼女に与えられた使命を、守り抜かんとする
決意が見てとれるのである。
朝露を全身にまとい、どこか凛とした、清々しい姿を
見せてくれていた。
ブラシのような穂が愛くるしく、野生の立ち姿に
惹きつけられた。
腕白のころ、友のズボン裾にゲジゲジ草を潜り込ませて、
笑い転げ遊んだ日が懐かしい。
This lovely wildflower, the sacred thing of a figure that stretches its spine,
stiffens itself with its antennae, and protects its seeds.
I can see her determination to protect her mission given to her.
She wore morning dew all over her body and showed a dignified
and refreshing appearance.
She was attracted to her lovely, wild standing with brush-like ears.
When I was bad boy, I sneaked this Gejigeji grass into my friend's pants hem.
I miss the day when I laughed and played with it.

A tree watching over the sea of clouds
《 立ち姿 静をまといて 寂なるや 悠久なるも 己変わらじ 》
－たちすがた せいをまとい じゃくなるや ゆうきゅうなるも おのれかわらじ－
奥比良縦走時の一風景である。
朽木の村が雲海をまとい深い眠りの中にある。
風雪に耐える一本の樹が、変わらない一生を見続ける
その姿に、自分を重ねてみた。
It is a scene when running vertically in Mts. Okuhira.
The village of Kutsuki is in a deep sleep wearing a sea of clouds.
The life that endured the wind and snow was overlaid on the figure
that kept watching the unchanging life.
■2021_10_20 比良山系に鎮座する二山
Two mountains settled in Mts. Hira
《 天翔けて 来る流星 王子さま 隠れた花を 見つけなんとす 》
－あまかけて きたるりゅうせい おうじさま かくれたはなを みつけなんとす－
蛇谷ケ峰、蓬莱山とも360度の眺望を持ち、絶好の天体観測の地でもある。
夏の夜、山頂でマットの上に寝ころんで天体に横たわる天の川や星座を観測するのも楽しい。
夜空をよぎる彗星、それは一人の星の王子さまがまたこの星にやってきたのだ。
流れ星との出会いもまた、一期一会として心に深く刻まれるものである。
写真上は、イワタニ峠より蛇谷ケ峰（902m）を望み、
下は、武奈ヶ岳より蓬莱山（三百名山1174m）を望む山姿である。
Both Mt. Jyatanikemine and Mt. Horai have a 360-degree view,
making it a perfect place for astronomical observation.
On summer nights, I look forward to laying down on a mat
at the top of the mountain and observing the Milky Way and constellations.
A comet that crosses the night sky, because one star prince will come
to this star again.
Encounters with shooting stars are also deeply engravedin my heart
as a once-in-a-lifetime meeting.

■2021_10_21 人間に対する警告
Warning to humans
《 掻き傷に 無断立ち入り 禁じると 想いて汗す 熊の怒りや 》
－かききずの むだんたちいり きんじると おもいてあせす くまのいかりや－
奥比良縦走の朽木温泉横にある登山口には、入山者に注意喚起する
＜警告 熊出没注意＞とある。
登山届を投函しながら、熊除けの鈴を持参していないことに気づいたのである。
緊急救助要請用の笛を鈴の代用にして、時々笛を吹いて森にお邪魔していることを
知らせることにして蛇谷ケ峰への夜間登山に臨んだ。
山頂での星座鑑賞のための野宿の間にも、熊の訪問を阻止するため持参した食料袋
をサイトから離れた高い枝に吊るした。
もちろん、時々笛を吹き、二本のストックを叩いて、来訪者がいることを熊や鹿、
猪たちに知らせたものである。
縦走二日目、蛇谷ケ峰直下で、熊の縄張りを示す生々しい熊の鋭い掻き傷をみた
時には、このような近くに熊がいたかと思うと、心底恐怖にかられた。
熊さんたちの生活圏に入る時には、訪問者としての謙虚な姿勢が大切であることを
再認識させられた。
There is a <Warning bear infestation caution> that alerts the climbers
at the trailhead next to Kutsuki Hot Spring which runs vertically in Mts. Okuhira.
While posting the mountain climbing notice, I realized that I didn't bring a bear bell.
I decided to use the whistle for emergency rescue as a substitute for the bell
and blow the whistle from time to time to let me know that I was in the forest.
Even during the inn for viewing the constellations on the mountaintop,
I hung the food bag I brought with me on a high branch away from the site
to prevent the bear from visiting.
Of course, I occasionally blows a whistle and hits two stocks to inform bears, deer,
and wild boars that there are visitors.
On the second day of the traverse, when I saw a sharp scratch
on a fresh bear showing the territory of a bear.
I was deeply scared to think that there was a bear near such a place.
When I entered the living area of the bears, I was reminded that a humble attitude
as a visitor is important.
■2021_10_22 キノコ、お山の姫たち
Mushrooms, mountain princesses
《 艶やかな キノコの花の 朽ちし木や 幸せ飾る 寝姿もよし 》
－あでやかな きのこのはなの くちしきや しあわせかざる ねすがたもよし－
人間も同じだが、山の樹々の代替わりは自然の摂理である。
老木が朽ちると、美しいキノコたちがその艶やかなファッションを競って、
倒木に花を添え、その一生を称えるのである。
キノコという姫たちに飾られた老木は、安らかな眠りのなかで、寝息を立てて
満足気である。
わたしも老体に新しい命、花を咲かさなくちゃ・・・
As with humans, the alternative to mountain trees is the providence of nature.
When an old tree decays, beautiful mushrooms compete for its glamorous fashion,
adding flowers to the fallen tree and celebrating its life.
The old tree decorated with princesses called mushrooms is satisfied
witｈ a peaceful sleep.
I also think that I have to make a new life and flowers for my old body.

《 死者の霊 迎えし冬の ケルトびと 魔除けの仮面 お菓子ねだりし 》
－ししゃのれい むかえしふゆの けるとびと まよけのかめん おかしねだりし－
我家の玄関先でもジャック・オ・ランタンのハロウイン達がお出迎えである。
ずいぶん昔になってしまったが、ニュージャージの我が家にも沢山の可愛いウイッチ
（魔法使い）が、『トリック・オア・トリート』と叫びながら、お菓子をもらいに押し寄せたものである。
日本では子供たちよりも、大人たちが仮装して楽しんでいる少し風変わりなハロウインに
戸惑っている老人である。
カボチャ・ランタンに火を入れると古代ケルト人の幻想的な歌声、
そう、エンヤのリズムが聞こえてきそうだ。
Jack-o-Lantern Halloweens are welcoming you at the front door of our house.
It's been a long time ago, but a lot of cute witches in our home
in New Jersey rushed to get sweets, shouting "Trick or Treat".
In Japan, they are an old man who is more confused by the slightly eccentric
Halloween that adults enjoy wearing clothes than children.
When I lit the pumpkin lantern, I heard the fantastic singing voice of the ancient Celts.

■2021_10_25 山の主・ガマガエルに迎えられ
Welcomed by the mountain lord toad
《 山の主 行き先はばむ ガマガエル 君は何者 挨拶せよと 》
－やまのぬし いきさきはばむ がまがえる きみはなにもの あいさつせよと－
比良山系の山の主は、ガマガエルである。
その堂々たる守護神は、神の使いとして登山人の安全を見守ってくれているのだ。
トレックしていると崖から、湿地から、草むらから飛び出してきてガマ問答を
挑んでくるのである。
「君は何しにこの山に来たのかね？」
「幸運をもらいに、君に会いに来たんだよ！」
「わしが女神に見えるかね！」
「・・・・？」

When trekking, they jump out of cliffs, swamps, and grass
and challenge the question and answer.
"Why did you come to this mountain?"
"For good luck, I came to see you!"
"Does I look like a goddess!"

■2021_10_28 秋陽に満たされて
Filled with autumn sun
《 秋日和 満ちにし光 浮き立ちて 喜びあふる 生かされし世や 》
－あきびより みちにしひかり うきたちて よろこびあふる いかされしよや －
久しぶりの秋日和、太陽を体一杯に浴びて、毛細血管の隅々まで豊かな光を
取り入れてみた。
体が温まり、こころが浮き立つのを感じた。生かされている幸せを感じる
瞬間でもある。
After a long absence, I took in the sun to the fullest and took in abundant light
to every corner of the capillaries.
I felt my body warm and my heart stand out.
It is also the moment when I feel the happiness of being alive.
■2021_10_29 共生は自然界の原則である
Symbiosis is a principle of nature
《 友なる君 背負いし命 分かち合い 共に生きにし 愛ある世をや 》
－ともなるきみ せおいしいのち わかちあい ともにいきにし あいあるよをや－
さんさんと照る朝日のもと、ツワブキ（石蕗）の花が輝き、その蜜を友なる
小さな虫たちに分け与えている。
虫たちは警戒することもなく受粉に協力しながら、今日一日の生きる糧を
得ているではないか。
生き抜くためには、愛ある共生こそが自然界の原則である。
Under the shining morning sun, the flowers of the leopard plant shine,
and the nectar is shared with the small insects that are friends.
They are not wary of cooperating with pollination and earning a living
for the day today.
In order to survive, loving symbiosis is the principle of nature.
■2021_10_30 伊吹山の勇姿
The brave figure of Mt. Ibuki
《 山路をや ゆるり一歩す 老人の 重ねし姿 想い懐かし 》
－やまじをや ゆるりいっぽす ろうじんの かさねしすがた おもいなつかし－
滋賀で最初に冠雪をし、その美しい山姿をびわ湖面に映して
見せてくれる山である。
今朝も、ここ志賀の里より棚引く雲の上に頭をのぞかせて
いるではないか。
あの日、お孫さんに手を引かれた白髪の老登山家を追い越し
ながら、会釈をしたことをはっきりと覚えている。
私自身が、かの老登山家の歳になったものである。
生かされ、老いるとは何と幸せなことか。
Mt. Ibuki is one of the 100 famous mountains in Japan that rises above Kita Omi.
Mt. Ibuki was the first of climbing for 100 famous mountains.
It is the first mountain in Shiga to be covered with snow, and the beautiful mountain appearance is reflected on the surface of Lake Biwa.
This morning also, it is looking into the clouds shelving from here in Shiga-no -Sato.
That day, while overtaking an old mountaineer with white hair who was pulled by his grandson. I clearly remembered that I had a nod.
I myself am same as the age of that old mountaineer.
How happy it is to be alive and old.

■2021_11_01 鼻たれ小僧のオヤツは柿だった
The snack for boyhood was a persimmon
《 忍び寄り 餓鬼柿喰えば 舌を出し してやったりと 悪戯つきしや 》
－しのびより がきかきくえば したをだし してやったりと あくぎつきしや－
少年時代のオヤツと言えば、柿であった。
戦争が終わって、何もない時代、柿の木に登って食べた
思い出が懐かしく宿る。
最近はお猿さん達も見向きもせず、柿はたわわに実ったまま
平安の中、一生を終るようである。
今朝も、柿たちは青空のもと、その艶やかな顔を幸せそうに
輝かせている。
戦争のない時代は、人の心を豊かにし、平和を噛みしめる
ことが出来ることを教えてくれているようである。
Speaking of the snack when I was a boy, it was a persimmon.
When the war is over and there is nothing, I miss the memories of climbing the persimmon tree and eating it.
Recently, the monkeys haven't looked at it.
It seems to end their life in peace.
Even this morning, the persimmons are shining happily on their glamorous faces
under the blue sky.
In an era without war, we can enrich people's hearts and bite peace.
It seems to tell me.
■2021_11_02 散歩道 ―命輝く黄葉紅葉たち－
Promenade -Autumn leaves that shine with life-
《 裏を見せ 表を見せて 散る紅葉 刹那遺せし 命姿や 》
－うらをみせ おもてをみせて ちるもみじ せつなのこせし いのちすがたや－
四季をめぐる美しい日本の散歩道が、ここ志賀の里にもある。
哀愁に満ち、侘び寂びを伝える秋もまた、好きな季節である。
There is also a beautiful Japanese walking path around the four seasons here
in Shiga-no-Sato. Autumn, which is full of melancholy and conveys Wabi-Sabi,
is also my favorite season.
【Wabi-sabi are Japanese senses of beauty, which mean “Beauty within simplicity.”
The rock gardens found in Buddhist temples are a shining example of traditional
Japanese beauty.】

－ごめんねと いわれてあけび からすうり こころかよいし きみのすがたや－
この世のすべてのものは、認識して初めて相手の存在を
認めることが出来ると思う。
日常、目の前にあるものでさえ、その存在に気づかない
ことが沢山あるものである。
同じ散歩道で、いままでその存在に気づかなかった
I think that everything in the world can recognize the existence of the other person only after recognizing it.
There are many things that we don't even notice in our daily lives, even in front of us.
On the same promenade, I met Akevi and Karasu-uri who had never noticed their existence, and apologized to them.
■2021_11-04 お山は雲の中 ―幻想の森へご招待―
The mountain is in the clouds
《 雲の中 夢想の人や 目覚めよと 誘いし小径 魅惑の森へ 》
－くものなか むそうのひとや めざめよと さそいしこみち みわくのもりへ－
山歩きで、幻想的な雲の中を歩く楽しさは格別である。
そこには魔法の世界が広がり、ファンタスティックな風景に
ひたることが出来る。
人生もまたピントをぼかせば、景色が変わるから面白い。
夢もまた、現実をアレンジした雲の中を見ている
のかもしれない。
The fun of walking in the fantastic clouds while being
in the mountains is exceptional.
A magical world spreads out there, and I can immerse myself
in a fantastic landscape.
Life is also interesting because the scenery changes
if you focus on it.
Dreams may also be looking in the clouds, which is an arrangement of reality.
■2021_11_06 柿、お見舞大使
Persimmon, sympathy ambassador
《 柿見るに 飢えしあの頃 懐かしき み光うけし 姿まぶしや 》
－かきみるに うえしあのころ なつかしき みひかりうけし すがたまぶしや －
病床の友にも秋を楽しみ、少年少女時代の懐かしいオヤツで
あった柿を想いだしてもらいたいと、
裏庭から枝葉付きのものを届けさせてもらった。
さっそく「愛情いっぱいの柿届きました」と
うれしい返事があった。
For enjoying autumn with friends on the sickbed, and enjoy the persimmons
that were nostalgic for boys and girls,
I sent something with branches and leaves from the backyard
so that she could remember it.
I got a reply right away.
"A persimmon full of love has arrived.
I showed my partner that it was from Shiga no Sato.
When I displayed it where she could see it,

―かわりなき てんちそうぞう あさやけの けふもであいて われがっしょうす―
姿を見るおもいである。
今朝も、立ち合いの瞬間、手を合わせる自分に気づかされた。
It is important to see the creation of heaven and earth in the godliness of the moment when the sun that appears on Lake Biwa shines.

■2021_11_24 懐かしい鉄路
Nostalgic railroad
《 想いだす 乗せし夢みる 鉄の箱 泳ぎ場向かい 琵琶を走るや 》
―おもいだす のせしゆめみる てつのはこ およぎばむかい びわをはしるや―
志賀の里にはびわ湖西岸、比良の山麓を走る鉄路、昔の江若鉄道を引き継いだ
JR（旧国鉄）の高架線、湖西線の列車が今なおのどかなに走り続けている。
その姿は平和な日本の戦後の歴史を見る思いである。
少年時代、びわ湖にある松の浦水泳場に向かうのに旧江若鉄道に乗ったことがある。
古い時代を想いだす一枚の懐かしい写真に出会った。
At Shiga no Sato, the west bank of Lake Biwa, the railroad that runs at the foot of Mts. Hira.
Its appearance is to see the peaceful postwar history of Japan.
I once took the old Koujyaku Railway to the Matsunoura Swimming Shore on Lake Biwa in my boyhood.
It came across a nostalgic photo that reminds me of an old age.

■2021_11_25 大切な間伐 ―小さい命にも光を―
Important thinning -Light for small lives-
《 ひしめきて 互い苦しむ 森の樹々 たがわぬ自由 解きて放ちし 》
ーひしめきて たがいくるしむ もりのきぎ たがわぬ自由 時て放ちし－
森を歩いていて倒木の多いことに驚く。
自然災害はもちろんだが、日本の林業の衰退に伴い、管理を
怠っているからであると思う。
我家の周りの大木の影に苦しむ小さい命にも光を与えるため、
久しぶりに電動鋸で間伐に汗した。
もちろん大木には今までの労をねぎらい、感謝の抱擁をした。
I am surprised that there are many fallen trees while walking in the forest.
Not to mention natural disasters, I think this is because they neglected to manage everything due to the decline of Japanese forestry.
I sweated thinning with an electric saw to give light to the small life
that suffers from the shadow of the big trees around my house.
Of course, I gave the big trees a hug of gratitude, aiming for the efforts they had made so far.
■2021_11_26 びわ湖の危機 ―水位低下―
Lake Biwa Crisis -Low Water Level-
《 暮ゆきし 琵琶の水がめ 縮まりて 長閑けき水面 寂しかりけり 》
―くれゆきし びわのみずがめ ちぢまりて のどけきみなも さびしかりけり―
降水量の減少によるびわ湖の水位が低下していると連日報道
され、京阪神1500万人の水がめとしての機能を果たせなく
なる危惧が叫ばれている。
夕暮れの散歩ごとに、湖岸の約６ｍの後退に、
心を痛めている。
そろそろ節水の心構えが必要なのかもしれない。

the decrease in precipitation.
There are calls for fear that the 15 million Big Osaka Area people will
not be able to function as water jars.
Every time I take a walk at dusk, I am deeply moved by the retreat of about 6m
on the shore of the lake.

サネカズラを活けてみた

《 葉隠れの 紅き果実や サネカズラ 表にいでて 恥ずかしきかな 》
―はがくれの あかきかじつや さねかずら おもてにいでて はずかしきかな―
昨日から風邪っけで、床に臥しているが、気分転換にと華を活けた。
葉の裏に隠れるサネカズラの実を、主役にとり立てて活けてみた。
赤い実を主役にすると、葉っぱはみな裏をむくのである。
人の裏に隠れている光るものを見た思いである。
I've been lying on the bed because of a cold since yesterday.
I tried the flower arrangement for the change of mood it.
I tried to use the fruit of Kadsura japonica hidden behind the leaves.
When the red fruit is the main character, all the leaves are
peeled off.
I think I saw something that shines behind people.

比良の峰々に初冠雪
First snowfall on the peaks of Mt. Hira
《 まだ来ぬと 待ちて焦れし 初雪の 見上げる峰に 我疑いし 》
―まだこぬと まちてこがれし はつゆきの みあげるみねに われうたがいし―
雲におおわれていた比良の峰々が顔を出した。
そこには雪帽子をかぶった峰々の姿があった。
志賀の里、冬を迎える風物詩の序章、初冠雪である。
ストーブも赤々と燃え、風邪っ気の体を温めてくれている。
The peaks of Mt. Hira which were covered with clouds was appeared.
There were peaks wearing snow hats.
Shiga no Sato, the prelude to the winter tradition, the first snowfall.
The stove also burns brightly, warming the body with a cold.
■2021_11_28 我家のファミリー・ピー子さん －小さな体に大きな命－
Our family Peeco-san -Big life for a small body-
《 よろしくね 慈愛込めしや ピーコさん 幸せの日々 我と過ごせし 》
ーよろしくね じあいこめしや ぴーこさん しあわせのひび われとすごせし―
春に出会ったピーコさんが冬を迎えて、擬態を緑色から灰色に変え、
冬眠に備えてか脂肪を貯めたようである。
ふっくらとした体形に、慈愛を込めた瞳、ピー子さんの幸せを感じる。
厳しい寒さの中、冬眠に入るピー子さんの姿勢を見ていると、
風邪っ気も吹っ飛んでしまった。
ピー子さんに感謝である。
It seems that Peeco-san, who met in the spring, changed the mimicry from green
to gray in the winter and saved fat in preparation for hibernation.
I feel the happiness of Peeco-san, who has a plump body shape and gracious eyes.
When I was watching Peeco's posture when hibernating in the harsh cold,

■2021_11_29 釣り人の背に想う
Thinking about the rear view of the angler
《 ふんわりと 雲の間浮かぶ 琵琶の湖 釣り人独り 弧に沈みしや 》
―ふんわりと くものまうかぶ びわのうみ つりびとひとり こにしずみしや－
病み上がりの体を慣らすために、ゆっくりと琵琶湖岸を散策した。
天空に浮かぶ青きびわ湖のもと、孤独を愛する釣り人がいた。
対岸の近江富士（三上山）と対峙するその姿は、
人生の奥深さを見せている。
孤を愛する者は、静を愛し、思索しているようだ。
I took a leisurely walk along the shores of Lake Biwa to get used to my sick body.
There was an angler who loved loneliness under Lake Biwa in the sky.
It seems that he sees the depth of his life as he confronts Omi-Fuji (Mt. Mikami-yama)
on the opposite bank.
Who love loneliness seem to love and think.
■2021_11_30 孟宗竹、天を突く
Moso bamboo possesses the heavens
《 天を衝く ジェンダー風吹く 竹ありて 発せし愚問 木か草かとや 》
―てんをつく じぇんだーかぜふく たけありて はっせしぐもん きかくさかとや―
破竹の勢いで天を突く一本の孟宗竹に出会った。
竹そのものが、木でもなく草でもないジェンダー的存在であることは、
現代の世相の不寛容さをあざ笑っているようにも見えた。
During the walk, I met a single Moso bamboo that hits the heavens .
The fact that bamboo itself is a gender entity that is neither a tree nor a grass.
It also seemed to ridicule the intolerance of modern society.
■2021_12_01 出番を待つ寅年暦の大津絵
Otsu-e of the tiger year calendar waiting for the turn
《 干支に見る 友の描きし 大津絵の めくりて嬉し 老いの日々かな 》
―えとにみる とものえがきし おおつえの めくりてうれし おいのひびかな－
2021年（丑年）最後の月を迎え、2022年（寅年）へ静かに交代準備である。
我家のメインを飾る大津絵カレンダー（篠田常生作）も然りである。
The last month of 2021 (Ox year) will be reached, and we are quietly preparing
for a change to the next year (Tiger year).
The same is true of the Otsu-e calendar (made by Tsuneo Shinoda) that
decorates the main part of our house.

■2021_12_02 沖島を見守る変化自在の雲
Changeable clouds watching over Oki Island
《 白雲の 変化自在や 紅の 姿変えゆく 寒の夕暮れ 》
―しらくもの へんげじざいや くれないの すがたかえゆく かんのゆうぐれ―
びわ湖には島が少ない。
我家の正面にある沖島にかかる白雲が、夕焼けに染まって、
紅に変わっていく様は一枚の油絵を見ているようである。
その姿に、心癒される冬空の光景である。
There are few islands in Lake Biwa. Chikubu Island, Takei Island and Oki Island.

and turn red.
It seems that I am looking at a piece of oil painting.
It is a scene of the winter sky that heals the heart.
■2021_12_04 今に生きる壁時計
Wall clock that lives in the present
《 古きよき 命刻みし 壁時計 手巻き嬉しや 今を生きにし》
－ふるきよき いのちきざみし かべとけい てまきうれしや いまをいきにし－
1871年（明治4年）5月18日パテント製造されたElias Ingraham & Co. 社製
（Bristol Connecticut, USA）のゼンマイ式手巻きのダルマ型柱時計が、
今を見続けている。
150年、約55000時間という歴史を見届けているその表情には、重厚な中にも
穏やかさがにじみ出ている。
老いるとは、豊かさをたたえることであると教えているようだ。
May 18, 1871 (Meiji 4) Patent manufactured Elias Ingraham & Co.
(Bristol Connecticut USA) spring-type hand-wound Dharma wall clock is
still on the lookout.
The expression, which has seen the history of 150 years old, about 55000 hours ,
exudes calmness even though it is profound.
It seems to teach that aging is to praise affluence.

Tanka(Japanese short poem) for “Days of recollection”
《 山を越え 生き延びなんと 重荷背に 負いし兄姉 覚悟の顔や 》
―やまをこえ いきのびなんと おもにせに おいしあにあね かぐごのかおや－
《 野摘み終え 夕焼け小焼け 照り映えて 籠一杯の ヨモギ溢るる 》
―のづみおえ ゆうやけこやけ てりはえて かごいっぱの よもぎあふるる―
《 歳重ね 足腰弱る 身なれども 振り返えりし日 美しきかな 》
―としかさね あしこしよわる みなれど ふりかえりしひ うつくしきかな―
年老いた兄弟姉妹に捧げる短歌を詠んでみた。
少年少女時代を戦争に生きた兄弟姉妹の記憶が
よみがえるのである。
疎開の事、飢えた腹を満たすために野摘みした記憶、
バッタを焼いて食べたこと・・・
すべてが懐かしく、美しい想い出である。
びわ湖を染める朝焼けを見ながら、少年時代を懐かしんだ。
I wrote a tanka(Japanese short poem) dedicated to my old brothers and sisters.
The memories of brothers and sisters who lived in the war during our boys
and girls' generation are revived.
Memories of Evacuation, picking in the field to fill the hungry belly,
baked grasshoppers and ate them ...
Everything is a nostalgic and beautiful memory.
I missed our boyhood while watching the sunrise over Lake Biwa.

See myself in full bloom of the cold cherry blossoms
《 寒桜 独り立ちぬる 侘しさや 小雨煙りし 志賀の里かな 》
―かんざくら ひとりたちぬる わびしさや こさめけむりし しがのさとかな－
小雨煙る志賀の里に咲く老いた寒桜と出会って、
そのわびしき立ち姿にこころ惹かれるものがあった。
When I met the old cold cherry blossoms that bloomed
in the village of Shiga-no-Sato, which smoked light rain,
I was fascinated by its awkward standing.
■2021_12_11 大津絵に魅せられて
Fascinated by Otsu-e(Folk art painting)
《 睨み来る 虎の目光る 大津絵の 一点の筆 命与えし 》
―にらみくる とらのめひかる おおつえの いってんのふで いのちあたえし―
愛車ホンダ・スーパーカブ・プロ110を駆って、友人が出品している
＜2021現代大津絵展＞に出かけてきた。
掛け軸に描かれた、来る年の干支である＜竹に虎＞の躍動する虎の目に
魅入った。
大津絵に命を注ぎ込む最後の一点・一筆だからである。
友人の民芸画・大津絵を手習い、次の世代に伝えたいと願う友の情熱に
心動かされるものがあった。
今日は、O君夫妻と共に鑑賞させてもらった。

」I went to the contemporary Otsu-e exhibition by driving
my car Honda Super Cub Pro 110.
The dynamic tiger's eyes of <Bamboo and Tiger>,
which is the zodiac of the next year, drawn on the hanging scroll I.
This is because it is the last one to give life to Otsu-e.
I hope to inherit Otsu-e as a friend's folk art painting and pass it
on to the next generation.
I was moved by his passion.
■2021_12_15 塗り絵を楽しむ

《 旅情 溢るる挿絵 色塗りて インカ婦人の 踊り蘇りし 》
―りょじょう あふるるさしえ いろぬりて いんかふじんの おどりやどりし―
幾年かまえ、五大陸制覇最後の南米大陸一周に出かけ、
たくさんのスケッチや挿絵を旅日記と共に書きとめてきた。
年老いたいま、時間を見つけては、旅の追憶にひたりながら
旅日記の挿絵に色付けをして楽しんでいる。
今回は、ペルーのティティカカ湖畔のプーノでのフェスタ―
で出会ったインカ族の末裔と思われるおばちゃん達に命を
蘇らせてみた。
最初の訪問国ペルーの＜インカ・アンデス＞をブログに
まとめたので、南米の足跡をたどってみたい。

A few years ago, I went around the last South American continent to conquer the five continents and wrote down many sketches and illustrations along with my travel diary.
Now that I'm old, when I find time, I enjoy coloring the illustrations in my travel diary while reminiscing about my travels.
This time, I tried to bring back the lives of the aunts who are thought to be descendants of the Incas who I met at the festival in Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca in Peru.
I'd like to put it together in a blog and follow in the footsteps of South America.

―ふわふわと まいてきらめく ゆきのせい このよのであい うつくしきかな―
今年はホワイトクリスマスになりそうである。
志賀の里にも、待望の初雪が降った。
白銀の世界は、美しい。
さっそく、雪の散歩道を楽しんできた。
This year is likely to be White Christmas.
The long-awaited first snow fell in Shiga-no-Sato.
The world of silver is beautiful.
So, I left a mark on the snowy promenade.
■ 2021_12_21 年末溝掃除の日
Year-end ditch cleaning day
《 ひと振りに 雑草倒る 冬の空 エンジン唸る 草刈り機かな 》
―ひとふりに ざっそうたおる ふゆのそれ えんじんうなる くさかりきかな―
近年、温暖化で降雪がすくなくなったが、比良山麓にある志賀の里は豪雪地帯である。
雪解け水は側溝を流れて排水される。
例年より2週間も早かった初雪もすっかり消えた。
覆う雑草を刈り、落葉で埋まった側溝を掃除するのである。
草刈り機の混合油一気筒の単調なエンジン音が冬空に響き、エンジンのリズミカルな振動が体に伝わって心地よい。
草刈り機を上手に使うコツは、腰の動きで決まる。
滑らかに、強弱をつけ、いかにヘッドを振るかで疲れが違ってくる。
何事にもコツがあり、経験はコツを教えてくれる先生でもある。
In recent years, global warming has reduced the amount of snowfall, but Shiga no Sato at the foot of Mt. Hira is a heavy snowfall area.
The thaw water flows through the gutters and is drained.
Weeds are cut and the gutters filled with fallen leaves are cleaned.
The monotonous engine sound of a single cylinder of mixed oil of a mower echoes in the winter sky, and the rhythmic vibration of the engine is transmitted to the body and is comfortable.
The key to using a mower well is the movement of our hips.
Everything has its knack, and experience is a teacher who teaches the knack.

―なごりづき ながむるすがた うつくしき しのびしきみや かんせつのひら―
冬至の残月が、冠雪の比良の峰に溶け込む美しい姿を詠んでみた。

■ 2021_11_24 冬空にクラゲ型宇宙船UFOか
Is it a jellyfish-type spaceship＜UFO> in the winter sky?
―Season‘ｓ Greetings－
" Merry Christmas ! "
裏庭に、ナスカの地上絵を模して石を配したが、さっそくクラゲ型UFOが偵察にやって来た・・・と思ってしまうほどの光景に出会った。
さっそく鉱石ラジオを増幅させてメッセージを聞いてみると、
《 Merry Christmas for everyone !》とかすかな電波をとらえた。
In the backyard, stones were placed to imitate the ground painting of Nasca,
A jellyfish-type UFO came to the reconnaissance at once.
When I amplified the crystal radio and listened to the message, I caught a faint radio wave like "Merry Christmas for everyone!"
■ 2021_12_26 望郷の渡り鳥
A migratory bird that thinks of its hometown
ここびわ湖には、シベリヤから沢山の渡り鳥が
やって来て越冬する。
渡り鳥達が年の瀬を迎え、故郷の満月を偲び、
その姿を湖面に浮かべていた。
《 望郷の 満月浴びし 渡り鳥 暮れゆく琵琶に 仰ぎ偲びし》
―ぼうきょうの まんげつあびし わたりとり くれゆくびわに あおぎしのびし－
Many migratory birds from Siberia come to Lake Biwa and overwinter.
They remembered the full moon in their hometown and
floated on the surface of the lake.
■2021_12_28 焚火と語る
Talk about bonfire
外は雪が深々と降っている。
今日は私の節目の日、焚火を囲んで人生を振り返ってみた。
《 さすらいの 日は暮れゆきし 仮の宿 天を望みて 主待ちてや 》
―さすらいの ひはくれゆきし かりのやど いかされしけふ あるじまちてやー
《 日ノ本に 生まれ喜ぶ 我おりて 生かされし今日 頭垂れしや 》
―ひのもとに うまれよろこぶ われおりて いかされしけふ こうべたれしや―
《 めくるめく 炎に託す わがいのち 変化自在の 我を生きてや 》
―めくるめく ほのをにたくす わがいのち へんげじざいの われをいきてやー
《 放浪の 人生なれど 楽しきや 導きありし 根無し草かな 》
―ほうろうの じんせいなれど たのしきや みちびきありし ねなしぐさかな―
It's snowing deeply outside. Today was my milestone day, and I looked back on my life around the bonfire.
On a wandering day
The night goes down
Hoping for a temporary inn
Waiting for the Lord
Entrust my life to the fluttering flames
Live in a changeable way
It ’s a wandering life
It ’s fun and guidance
It ’s a rootless grass

大晦日、友遠方より来るという。
ここ志賀の里は、深々と白雪が降り続いているではないか。
染入る友と濁り酒を酌み交わし、他愛ない小言を肴に、酔い崩れたいものである。

It is said that it will come from a distant friend on New Year's Eve.
Isn't it snowing deeply here in Shiga no Sato?
