2014年1月18～20日、南米最南端のビーグル水道ウシュアイアから、氷河ピオ11世までのパタゴニア・フィヨルドを、ピースボート第81回 南半球世界一周船旅の途上、客船オーシャンドリーム号の船上よりスケッチしたものです。
January 18-20, 2014, I sketched the Patagonia Fjord from Ushuaia, the southernmost part of South America, to the glacial Pio 11 from the board of the cruise ship Ocean Dream, on the way to the 81st Peace Boat Round the World Circumnavigation.

ハガキ大のスケッチ用紙5枚によるパノラマ・スケッチ7組、計35枚の連作で、色彩は白黒を基調にして記録風に仕上げたスケッチ集です。
客船＜オーシャンドリーム号＞は、パノラマスケッチの右＜ウシュアイア＞から左＜氷河ピオ11世＞へ、チリの太平洋西岸、南アンデスのチリ側パタゴニア・フィヨルドを観賞しながら西北西に向かって航行中です。
A series of 35 panoramic sketches, 7 pairs of 5 postcard-sized sketch papers.
The colors are a collection of sketches based on black and white and finished in a record style.
The cruise ship <Ocean Dream> is sailing from the right <Ushuaia> to the left <Glacier Pius XI> of the panoramic sketch toward the west-northwest while admiring the Chilean Patagonia fjord on the Chilean Pacific coast of Chile and the South Andes.

この＜パタゴニア・フィヨルド・パノラマスケッチ＞は、縦10ｃｍの横幅 5ｍ25ｃｍであり、全容を並べてお見せできないのが残念です。
実際は、①の左に②の右がつながり、氷河幅が約5kmもある⑦＜ピオ１１世氷河＞へとつづく連続作品です。
This <Patagonia Fjord Panorama Sketch> is 10 cm long and 5 m 25 cm wide, and it is a pity that the whole picture cannot be shown side by side. Actually, it is a work that connects the left of ① to the right of ② and continues to the last ⑦ <Pio Ⅺ Glacier>.
作品でもわかるが、チリ側パタゴニア付近の南アンデスの山並みはかなり低くなり、マゼラン海峡で姿を消し、アルベルト・デ・アゴスティニ国立公園のダーウイン山に続くことになる。
スケッチした2014年1月18～20日は、南半球の真夏であるが、アンデスの山には万年雪が残り、至る所に幾世紀にもわたり太平洋に移動し、注ぎ込む氷河がその姿を見せていた。
南アンデス山脈が迫った海岸線は、至る所に大小の険しいフィヨルド（氷河による渓谷）が形成され、人を寄せ付けない風情であり、その景観は人を圧倒するスケールで迫る自然の造形である。
As you can see in the work, the mountains of the Southern Andes near Patagonia on the Chilean side have become quite low, disappearing in the Strait of Magellan and continuing to Mount Darwin in Alberto de Agostini National Park. The sketched January 18-19, 2014, is midsummer in the Southern Hemisphere, with icecaps remaining on the mountains of the Andes, and glaciers pouring into the Pacific Ocean everywhere for centuries. .. The coastline, approaching the Southern Andes, has steep fjords (glacier valleys) formed everywhere, creating an atmosphere that keeps people away, and the landscape is a natural sculpture that approaches on an overwhelming scale.

2007年の南米大陸一周バス旅行に際しては、サンチャゴ以南のパタゴニア・フィヨルドという天然の断崖を避け、アンデス最高峰のアカンコグア山麓を越えてアルゼンチンのメンドーサに向かい、アルゼンチンのパタゴニア大平原を南下して、南米大陸最南端の街ウシュアイアに到達したものである。
その時に、立寄れなかったチリ側パタゴニア・フィヨールド遊覧を実現させ、描き上げたパノラマスケッチをブログ作品展として発表できることを喜んでいる。
During the 2007 round of South America, avoid the natural cliffs of the Patagonia Fjord south of Santiago, cross the foothills of the highest peak of the Andes, Mendoza, Argentina, and head south on the Great Plains of Patagonia, Argentina. It reached the southernmost city of Ushuaia. At that time, I am delighted to be able to realize the Patagonia Fjord tour on the Chilean side, which I could not stop by, and to present the panoramic sketches I drew at the blog exhibition.

われわれのオーシャンドリーム号は、寄港地ウシュアイア（アルゼンチン・南米最南端の街）を出港、ビーグル水道を西へ針路をとりパタゴニア・フィヨルド遊覧をはじめた。
これよりマゼラン海峡をとおり最大の『ピオⅪ世氷河』をへて、太平洋へとでる。
これより3日間、壮大な地球の営み、幾万年も雪や氷を堆積し氷河となって削り上げたフィヨルドを満喫したい。
いまだ残る氷河、そこにはグレイシャス・ブルーが輝き続けていた。
この悠久の世界をスケッチとして残したいと、船7階の右舷に座って描き続けた。
ハガキ40枚、約5メートルのパノラマスケッチが出来上がった。
刻々と表情を変える氷河の魅力をご鑑賞、ご堪能いただければ幸いである。
Our Ocean Dream departed from the port of call Ushuaia (the southernmost city in Argentina and South America), took a course west of the Beagle Aqueduct, and began a Patagonia fjord excursion.
From this, we will pass through the Strait of Magellan, and also the largest "PiⅪ Glacier", and go out to the Pacific Ocean.
For the next three days, I would like to enjoy the magnificent life of the earth and the fjords that have been carved into glaciers by accumulating snow and ice for tens of thousands of years.
The glacier that still remains, where Glacier Blue continued to shine.
I wanted to leave this eternal world as a sketch, so I sat on the starboard side of the 7th floor of the ship and continued to draw.
A panoramic sketch of 40 postcards and about 5 meters was completed.
Please appreciate the charm of the glacier, which changes its expression every moment.
